David Satel, Founder
David’s Vending Sales and Repairs was founded in 1974, by David and Sandy Satel. After completing military service with the U.S. Army, David went to work as a mechanic for a small, local vending company. That business failed; the owner turned over his client list to David in lieu of back wages, and David went out to find other operating companies in the area to serve those accounts. This introduced him to the regional vending industry and to operators with unserviceable machines that they were eager to sell. Initially working from his garage, he repaired and resold them, and developed an operator clientele. In One Year, David’s Vending Sales and Repairs moved into its current location at 800 So. San Fernando Blvd., Burbank, CA 91502. Our slogan, “it started with a coin” and has grown to a business that services thousands of customers and their customers to fulfill their needs for convenient snacks and refreshments. David passed way in January 2013.
Sandy Satel, President and Controller
Sandy started her career working at Ontario Bank and Trust. While handing the finances of David’s Vending Sales and Repairs since inception, she also operated and owned her own business, Georgie’s ice cream at the Golden Mall on San Fernando Blvd, which has been redeveloped into the Burbank Media City Center. Sandy is also an independent distributor for Kangan Water. Sandy enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, her companions Petee and Candy, doing yoga and gardening.
David Satel, Jr., Vice-President and Service Manager
David is a member of the National Automated Merchandising Association (NAMA). He spent much of his childhood working part-time at David’s Vending travelling to various locations to help repair machines with his father. David Jr. began working full-time at David's Vending in 1994. In his free time, David has been a successful vending machine operator and enjoys driving, car shows, golfing, watching UFC and collecting Dukes of Hazzard memorabilia.
